ParticipantMembers are telling me logging out is not possible: they click the Logout link, but nothing happens. They are still logged in. What could be wrong?

ModeratorHi, did the Super Cache troubleshooting link above help you with your issue?
Regards

ParticipantI checked the settings in Super Cache and tested it: it worked fine for one time only: One can log out the first time, but after logging in again , logging out is not possible anymore. So the problem remains.

ParticipantLike I said: logging out works fine the first time, after that logging out is not possible anymore. It’s not an other plugin causing it.

ModeratorHi, your issue is specific to your site. I am almost certain it is related to a cache issue whether it is coming from a plugin, theme or your server. Also, the browser might be playing a part in this issue as well. Unfortunately there is not much more that I can do to help you with this issue.
Kind regards.

ParticipantIt’s not the plugins, not the theme (I switched to a default WordPress theme), browser (everyone is experiencing this) or server. I expect this plugin to work actually. Maybe you can have a look at the site?

ModeratorHi,
Unfortunately there is not much more I can do from my end to try and help you. I have submitted a message to the developers to investigate further your issue.
Kind regards.

KeymasterThis is a caching related issue on the server or some other conflict external to our plugin. The login and logout functionality of our plugin is rock solid (I just tested it myself). Unless, something is interfering on a site, there cannot be an issue with the logout functionality.
Ask your hosting provider about what caching they have enabled in your hosting package which might shed some light.
Unfortunately, this is beyond the scope of what we can do as part of this free support option. The following post has some explanation:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/message-from-the-simple-membership-team/You can try a different membership plugin which might work better on your site given the current server setup that you have.

ParticipantNo, it has nothing to do with caching or the hosting. We tested that extensively.
Logging out works fine the first time, but when you log in again and log out for the second time, it does not work. So that looks more like a bug.March 5, 2022 at 5:18 am #23693mbrsolution
ModeratorHi @hvz, I just finished completing a test in my dev site. I carried out a test running WordPress 5.9.1 and the latest SWP version. I was able to login and log out more than once using different browsers without any issues. I had no caching plugin running in this test. I also had 17 different plugins active while carrying out the test.
Browsers tested, Firefox, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Seamonkey. I can confirm that the plugin is working as expected.
Unfortunately I cannot reproduce your issue.
Kind regards.
