ParticipantI have installed the Simple Membership Form Builder add on. My assumption when purchasing/installing it was that the existing forms for registration, password reset, login and profile would show up in the forms list so they can be changed. How do we modify the standard forms that comes with the plugin?

ModeratorHi, when you create a membership form you assign a membership level. That is what controls the form.
So using the Form Builder add-on, create a new Free membership form and assign the free membership level if you are allowing Free membership sign up. The add-on will take control of your standard form. Now you can add new fields to the standard free form.

ParticipantHi MBESolutions. Thanks for response. I created at Standard membership and a new form with some add on fields. However, when I go to the page in the menu it just spins (both in backend and frontend).

ModeratorThe form you created, I am assuming this is for Free membership. What membership level did you use?

ParticipantUsed both Standard and Free in the description. Where else do I designate? Same effect on loading the page.

ParticipantI am sorry but documentation says to not change shortcode (look at documentation). This does not help. Perhaps the plugin is a problem? I sennt in another question. When I install the plugin, showldn’t I be able to modify the existing plugin forms without creating new ones? very confusing.

ModeratorHi, the instructions are correct. I will modify the instructions further to add the shortcdoe below.
When you create a paid membership registration form using the form builder add-on you then have to add that shortcode as per instructions above in the URL.
When you create the free membership form, you must select the free membership level. That way when you go to register in the front end for the free membership, the form will appear. The page is using the following default shortcode.
[swpm_registration_form]The shortcode above knows that you are referring to the Free membership level. You can also add the free membership level if you want to the shortcode as per instructions above in the URL. However it is not necessary because that is already set up in the plugins settings under Free Membership Level ID.

ParticipantI have done all that. I am not sure what else to do.

ModeratorHi do you have the latest version for this plugin and the add-on? What is the shortcode you see in the registration page?
How many forms have you created using the form builder add-on?

ParticipantI just installed the plugin and purchased the addon a couple days ago. Membership plugin version 3.2.0. Form Builder plugin 4.1

ParticipantI have created one form as a test. The code on the registration page is [swpm_registration_form]
March 16, 2016 at 6:17 am #5903mbrsolution
ModeratorThe form you created as a test, is that a paid form or a free form? If it is a free from did you select the correct membership level? If it is a paid form did you select the correct membership level.

ParticipantIt appears I created the form correctly. However, to get it to work I have to change the shortcode to [swpm_registration_form level=2] to correspond to the profile form. The plugin documentation is confusing because it indicates that you do not have to change the shortcode since the plugin picks it up.
IS there a jQuery plugin that I should install to get the validation to work on the Password field and provide more control over Username validation. The Password validation is greyed out. The passwords don’t even have to match.
Thanks for your help and responsiveness.

ModeratorHi, can you explain the following.
However, to get it to work I have to change the shortcode to [swpm_registration_form level=2] to correspond to the profile form.
In regards to the following.
The plugin documentation is confusing because it indicates that you do not have to change the shortcode since the plugin picks it up.
Are you referring to the Link I provided above?
The password validation already works on the plugin. I have tested this feature myself and it does validate when I enter the wrong password on the second field.
