    Hi there,

It is just coming up to a full year of running my membership site using this splendid plugin. I have over 13,000 members, the majority being Free.

I chose not to offer a recurring paid membership, as people often lose/change their credit cards/email addresses, and this would cause problems at the renewal date.

So, a member’s registration expires at the due date, when they can then still login to renew using the appropriate button.

However, my members are so keen that they are renewing early, in case they forget. And the new expiry date is effective from the date they pay, rather than being added on to the current expiry date.

Would they be a chance that you could arrange it so that, when a member renews early, say a month, they don’t lose a month’s membership?

    Cheers,
    JohnF

Hi, this feature has been added to the subscription button. Please read the following documentation to learn more.

    Thank you

I don’t think this covers the situation I described. My members are not cancelling their subscription.

All my membership levels have Access Duration set to expire after. Today one of my members noticed her subscription would expire on 14 November 2016, so she decided to renew it today, 1 November. After she paid by clicking on the relevant But Now button, the new expiry date was set to 1 November 2017, whereas it should have been set to 14 November 2017.

Hi, thank you for clarifying your question and issue further.

Yes you are correct, the link I shared above would not help you in your situation. I have submitted a message to the plugin developers to investigate further your request.

    Thank you

We will add an improvement for this in the next release of the plugin.

    Many thanks, admin.

I expect it will be tricky. For instance, I have a group of membership levels as follows:

    Individual 12 months @ £10.00
    Individual 6 months @ £6.00
    Individual 3 months @ £4.00

Members may chop and change between lengths of time to buy when each renewal ends.

    Good luck,
    JohnF
