Topic: 404 / Page Not Found after login
I’m running into an issue I cannot track down. When logging in successfully, I’m consistently brought to a page that doesn’t exist on my site – [https://timemachiner.io/?page_id=2827]
I’ve installed the Login Redirection plugin and for each of my membership levels I’ve populated the After Login Redirection Page field with my homepage: [https://timemachiner.io]
I’ve changed themes and that doesn’t help. I’ve turned off Lightspeed and cloudflare caching, neither of which help.
My Login page is [https://timemachiner.io/membership-login]
Here is what is being logged when I log in with sensitive info redacted:
[2025/06/05 13:20:39] - SUCCESS: Authentication request using email address: myemail@example.com, Found a user record with username: MyUsername [2025/06/05 13:20:39] - SUCCESS: Authentication request - Username: MyUsername [2025/06/05 13:20:39] - SUCCESS: SwpmAuth::set_cookie() - Value of 'remember me' parameter: [2025/06/05 13:20:39] - SUCCESS: The 'Remember me' option is unchecked for this request, setting expiry to be a session cookie. The session cookie will expire when the browser is closed. [2025/06/05 13:20:39] - SUCCESS: Authentication successful for username: MyUsername. Triggering swpm_after_login_authentication action hook. [2025/06/05 13:20:39] - SUCCESS: Trying wp_signon() with username: MyUsername [2025/06/05 13:20:39] - SUCCESS: wp_authenticate action. User with username: aaron-test is already logged in.I have no idea why this is happening. Hoping to get some help here.
I’m trying to develop a plugin to target specific IDs to show/hide visibility. In part because I don’t think the current Dynamic Menu plugin will work with the 2024 theme. I looked through the documentation but couldn’t find answers to all of my questions:
• What hook or function can I use to retrieve the current logged-in user’s membership level?
• Is there a hook that fires after a user’s membership level is updated?
• Can you provide examples or best practices for using swpm_after_login and swpm_logout hooks to dynamically control content visibility?
• How can I fetch a complete list of all membership levels, including custom ones?
• Are there any recommendations or best practices for integrating a custom visibility control plugin, particularly for adjusting content based on membership levels?
Thanks!
[Support request]Topic: Hook swpm_after_login not working with Simple Membership After Login Redirection
Hi,
we have been asked to execute a Google Tag Manager event when someone logs into our site, or when they register, and send user data.I was doing tests with the login sequence, using swpm_after_login, and was getting no result.
After some research I found https://simple-membership-plugin.com/forums/search/swpm_after_login/ where it said that the hook was not being fired when the plugin Simple Membership After Login Redirection was active. So I deactivated it and got it to work.
But we do need that plugin as our users need to be redirected to webpages depending on their role.
Which hook can I use for this task with the plugin enabled?

[Support request]Topic: Manual Upgrade button doens\'t work
Hi,
I tried all the solutions in this forum and i cant figure out why it is not working.
After registration, Visitors have an option to upgrade their account for free with a button. I use the next shortcode:
[swpm_update_level_to level=”3″ button_text=”Update Level”]
After you click the button, nothing happens. It goes back to the page witch is set up to redirect to after login and also is the last page.I tried the debug mode but nothing shows there about the upgrade button:

My last guesses: can it have anything to do with the fact that i dont use the mail to confirm the account, or that i use the login page within an iframe on the homepage?
[Support request]Topic: swpm_after_login hook not firing
The “swpm_after_login” action does not fire when “Simple Membership After Login Redirection” plugin is activated (note: the redirection feature was not active – checkbox in its settings unchecked, but the plugin itself was activated)
Everything runs up to the call to do_action(‘swpm_after_login’) in class.simple-wp-membership.php, but not the functions hooked onto that action, or anything in the login function afterwards.
After deactivating the Redirection plugin it seems to run the action properly, and the following lines of code in the function.
[Resolved]Topic: Redirection after login issue on Safari v12.1.1
I am just about to go live with my Members Only area and was doing some browser testing, and it appears I have found an issue with the Simple Membership After Login Redirection addon.
When testing in Chrome or Firefox, the redirection works as intended.
However, when testing in Safari, the user is just taken to a user summary screen.
I have 4 user groups with login redirections set up, and I have tested each one numerous times and the same issue occurs. Here is a copy of my login debug:

I have W3 Total Cache installed, but I have made the required changes to the page cache recommended in your documentation.
Also if I disable the cache plugin the same issue occurs.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Jonas[Support request]Topic: Link directly to membership URL via login (swpm_after_login_redirect_url)
Hi,
I have a solution where all users are redirected to login if they are not already logged in.
However the customer wants to be able to send links to specific pages to the site users by mail. The problem is that if the users are not logged in, they are redirected to login and the link URL is lost.
To fix this my idea is to save the original URL before redirecting to login and then use swpm_after_login_redirect_url to redirect to the original URL after login. However I cannot get it to work. My current code is like this:
$originalURL add_filter( 'pre_get_posts', 'swpm_auto_redirect_non_members' ); function swpm_auto_redirect_non_members($originalURL) { if (!current_user_can( 'manage_options' )) { // save original URL $originalURL = $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'].$_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']; // if not logged in, redirect to login if(!SwpmMemberUtils::is_member_logged_in() && !(is_page('membership-login' ) || is_page('password-reset') )){ //echo '<!-- page is test -->'; wp_redirect( get_home_url().'/membership-login/' ); } if(is_page('membership-login')){ echo '<!-- page is membership-login -->'; } } } add_filter('swpm_after_login_redirect_url', 'redirectToURL'); function redirectToURL($originalURL) { return $originalURL; }What am I doing wrong? If I replace
return $originalURLwith a static URL like ‘https://www.google.com’ it works, so I guess my error lies in assigning a correct URL to $originalURL. I have also tried usingglobal $originalURLinside the functions instead of passing it as a parameter.
