    Thank you, this would be a great feature to include.

    In the meantime I have added the plugin: Delete Me

    It doesn’t work to delete a Member’s account from your plugin, but it does delete the WP User and sends me an email telling me they’ve deleted their account, I am then able to manually delete them from your membership plugin.

    Not perfect, but satisfactory for a temporary workaround.

    That would be wonderful, thank you. In the meantime I have edited this file: simple-membership/classes/class.bForm.php to return this error message instead as a temporary workaround:

    $this->errors[‘wp_email’] = BUtils::_(‘WordPress account exists with given user name. But given email doesn\’t match. If you are trying to upgrade your membership please email us for assistance info@morganbooks.ca‘);

    It’s not perfect but clears up user confusion for now. I look forward to the self-upgrade feature coming soon. 🙂

    Hi there JoAnna, I’m just a user of this plugin trying to figure out a few things myself, but I read you post and thought I’d see if I can help you a bit. I setup a test site (totally not formatted or anything lol) but I installed the theme you’re using and then this membership plugin – I haven’t customized any aspect of this theme, it’s straight out of the box. http://naturearranged.grandeonline.ca/test/ For the plugin, the only “setup” I did was to add a Membership level and then under settings I activated the Free Membership option and set the default account status to Pending. I left everything else in the plugin alone.

    – The words “Login” and “Join Us” are not underlined and there is no indication to the visitor that these are links??

    You’ll see on this page that the linked words do show as a different colour. So my first question would be whether you have changed anything in the CSS stylesheets to impact the way a text link displays on your page? It looks like you might have.

    – After clicking Submit ….Nothing happens ???

    On my test, after hitting submitting the page refreshes to a message that says:
    Registration Successful. Please Login
    I also received a confirmation email.

    If you’d like to try to “join” this test site of mine to see what happens feel free to do so.

    From this, my guess is that there is something in your theme that has been customized and/or you have another plugin that is conflicting with this particular plugin. Unfortunately it’s a bit of a trial and error process to sort it out. Most tech help will suggest that you start by deactivating all of your plugins – it’s a great troubleshooting technique, but I caution you to be careful that you know exactly what you have setup in your sidebars, because in SOME cases deactivating your plugins can cause you to lose some of your sidebar widgets and possibly some customization if any. But it really is the only way to determine if you are experiencing a conflict with another plugin.

    Once they are all deactivated, test this membership plugin again – if it works properly you know you have a conflict. At this point you need to re-activate your plugins one at a time and retest after each one to see at which point the membership plugin stops working properly.

    If it still does not work, then it is likely something that has been customized in your theme – I say customized, because when tested straight of the box with default settings this theme and plugin work fine together.

    I hope all of this helps. Like I said, I’m just another user, no connection to the developers here, but I wanted to see if I could help. Good luck to you.
