Hi, try the following. In the plugin Settings -> General Settings, on the following entry Registration Page URL add your Join Us page URL. Make sure that you also add the shortcode found in the registration page url to the Join Us page. You might also have to adjust the menu structure in your theme.

Carry out a test and report back letting us know if it works for you.

Can you provide some information about the clients it happened too without revealing personal or private information.

Can you enable Debug Mode and next time it happens again can you check the log file. Report back with any findings in the log file.
