Here is the exact scenario I am working with. We use a calendar plugin (My Calendar) which has the ability to email the members whenever a change is made to the calendar. System generated, it looks like this when it is received my the member.
“Hi Members, the USDA Forest Service announces public meetings on Greater Sage-grouse Plan amendments. event on November 29, 2018 has been added or changed. Please go to members.mvatvr.org/calendar-notification/?mc_id=550 to view the calendar.”
NOTE: The basis page stays the same but the supplemental information as to the actual event changes every time as it refers to a different event each time.As it is now, the member clicks on the link above and is taken to the Simple Membership login. The member completes the login and the link dies right there on the homepage of the membership site.
From what I can discern, the plugin you suggested redirects the member based on a predetermined specification and would not have the ability to know what event is addressed in the link from the email.
In working with the owner of the My Calendar plugin, it was suggested to try the link below just to determine if we could get past the login once complete. While not using the exact message we would be generating, the test would allow us to continue past the login to the page.
That attempt to redirect on the fly also stalled upon completion of the login by the member at the homepage.
What I am trying to discover if there is a syntax or plugin that can be used to allow the member click on a link in an email received, to go to the login page, the member complete the login and the member then arrive at the page with the event specified displayed.

I have a major problem with the plugin. Can you be of help or how can I get help? It involves sending an email to the members about an event that is contained on a calendar that is behind the login screen. When the member clicks the link they are taken to the login screen and must enter their username and password. Once entered the link dies there and does onto continue to the page in the link. What syntax doe i need to use to allow the member continue to the desired target page and not be left at the successful login?
Thank you if you can help.Just found the problem. Did =not have WP settings at eh correct timezone. Set to GMT. Works great when you have all set properly.
THANKS!!I set setting to use WP time zone. Created new member. Logged on to new member. Looked at member info and actual time of login was 1508 Member showed 2208. I think that is showing GMT which is 7 hours different from here.
