ParticipantWe set up a bunch of members last year and they bought a subscription option.
However, they are NOT receiving a notice that their credit card will be charged automatically, nor even a message from Stripe that the payment went through! (I know this for a fact as my own account was just renewed and I only know about it because the treasurer just told me!)
This is VERY unfriendly for our members. Isn’t there a way we can tell them ahead of time that they will be auto-renewed, giving them to option to cancel. Or, better yet, we could give them the option to renew (opt in) and let their membership expire otherwise.
Thanks this is rather urgent since we got a new batch of members a year ago upon implementing the new system!
Thanks!!

ParticipantYes, of course the API keys are associated with our account, which lets us get the payment from the user after purchase. These are the same keys used globally, for both Buy Now and subscription buttons.
The problem is that there doesn’t seem a way to link the Buy Now button in SWPM to the associated product in Stripe.
I am using version 4.5.1 of the plugin; according to the web site the latest version is 4.5.

ParticipantThanks for the quick response!
1) I turned on the debug logs. (Note that this is an extremely infrequent purchase.)
2) We have added the member manually, but their onboarding flow is now a little awkward.
3) Yes, it’s a Stripe SCA Buy Now button. (I took a screenshot but don’t know how to attach it here.)
Looking more closely at the Buy Now button details (by clicking Edit), I note that there is no Stripe API ID field to associate with the Lifetime Membership Product in Stripe. Likewise, I see that in the Stripe Transactions page, all the regular memberships use the correct name associated with the product “Individual Membership,” but the payment for the Lifetime membership in the transaction list just has an ID code, no name. It seems that Stripe takes the money, gives it to us, then drops the transaction on the floor because it doesn’t have any context for the purchase. -
