I did not build our website, I’m only updating it. I do not know anything about the SWPM vs WordPress login. All I know is that on the left menu under Dashboard there is both a “Users” selection and a “WP Membership” selection. From what I could find online, I believe that the login is generated from WP Membership and I believe it is the Simple Membership plugin. For those few who seem to have trouble with their login,I have offered a new password that I would enter internally in their WP Membership profile as well as their Users profile. I have tested this on my computer and am able to get in. Is this a valid procedure to help someone with their login problem?
I have spent HOURS trying to find a discussion on this very topic. I am managing a website for our garden club and occasionally someone who has previously set up a successful login, now is blocked. To try to fix this, I don’t know whether I need to edit WP Membership or Users or both. From this conversation, I am starting to learn that the Membership plugin feeds Users. Is that correct? Even though, Users allows for the generation of an electronic password and the Membership plugin allows for the entry of a password. Here’s my question: When a member is not able to login, what are the steps I need to take to fix this?
