Hi again. Since the issue persists, last night I deleted my membership level, as suggested, but then when I tried accessing my site I got the following message:
“Error! This member profile (Member ID: 3) does not have a valid membership level assigned. The site admin needs to assign a valid membership level to this member profile.”

I panicked! I then used Jetpack to restore my site to a previous backup and the original Admin. level was there again. Any suggestions? If this helps, I use the very same username for both my WP admin and my SM admin level. So, say, if I log out of SM, then log out of WP, followed by loggin in in WP, then I’m automatically logged in in my site, no need to enter my admin details in SM. Would that suggest anything?
Thanks once again in advance for your help and concern.

Ok thanks for your quick reply. Should I delete my admin level and create a new one? Will I lose any access or face any issues after deleting it? Please advise. Thanks again!

Thanks once again for your reply. Once again, basically every time SM asks me to log in, if I do, I stay on the login page that gives the member’s info telling me I’m logged in now, but any protected posts I access after that it asks me to log in again. The only way is going to WP admin, logging out there, log in again, and then I’m able to log in using the SM login form, no problem at all (until it asks me to log in again later, that is)
So summing it up, I wonder what the “admin level” I created in SP is good for if I’m still asked to log in quite often. That’s all.
Please advise once again. I appreciate your help!
    Kind regards.

Follow up to my previous post:
Whenever the issue happens (WordPress asking me to log in using the Simple Membership login form when I access a protected post), it doesn’t take me to the very post I tried to access, instead it stayed on the login page that gives the member’s info telling me I’m logged in now, only to find out I’m not at all when I tried to access any protected post after that. More over: to make it even more strange, this situation DOESN’T HAPPEN AT ALL if I use an incognito window instead, or if I use Microsoft Edge or Chrome, it only happens wit Brave browse (the one I currently use) but, once again, WORKS FINE in a Brave incognito window, DOESN’T WIRK in a regular Brave window.
And then when it happens in a regular window (the very original issue we’re discussing) the only way to log in successfully is:
    1. Logging out of WP administration
    2. Logging in WP administration (using the same username and password of the Simple Membership “admin” level I created)
    3. And then logging in with the SM form (using the same username and password of the WP administration)
Hope this helps, looking forward to your reply.
    Thanks once again!

Thanks for the info, I’ll check that out and let you know later. In the me anytime, maybe this can be helpful: WordPress (not Simple Membership) has just asked me to log in. At the same time Simple Membership also asked me to log in. I entered my username (Simple Membership plugin’s login form) but nothing changed. More over, it didn’t take me to the very post I tried to access. Instead it stayed on the login page that gives the member’s info (eventually informing me I was logged in all) And then when I went to the very post again it asked me to log in again, so I didn’t. I forgot that for a second, went to the WP form, logged in with my username and password (same one I use as Simple Membership’s administrator, yes, THAT issue we were discussing, yes to be solved) and then when I tried accessing any protected post I logged in without a problem.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks once again!

    Hi again,
I can confirm I had already create a standard member account (I actually created two), visited protected pages using an incognito window and access was granted.

Hi again. Before anything, sorry for my late follow-up! With reference to your comments:

<If you’ve already imported the Admin user account into a membership level, the next step is to make sure the access <permission setup is correct. As before, there are only three main factors that can cause issues:
    <1) Caching
<2) Conflicts with certain plugins or themes
    <3) Misconfiguration

<I’d already imported the Admin user account into a membership level but still, no matter how much I try, it doesn’t seem to work . I don’t think it’s a catching issue, or related to with certain plugins or themes (I may be wrong), but maybe a misconfiguration thing then? Admin Dashboard Access Permission is set to “administrator”, while Membership Level Name is set to the the Admin user account I’d imported, and Default WordPress Role also set to Administrator (that would be me too)

Last but not least, there’s another issue which is giving me a bigger headache, maybe you can help me with this too? Besides the “Admin user account import” not working, when trying to access any post on my site, I’m being asked to log in almost on a daily basis. Then when I do, I get the “You are logged into the site as an ADMIN user in this browser. First, logout from WP Admin then you will be able to log in as a member” Even more weird, If I open WP Admin in a new window and log out of WP, I still get the “…” message. I can only REALLY log out if clicking on the “profile” (my profile, eventually) included in “warning!” message body. If I’m not able to fix the “Admin user account import” issue, I’d still be more than happy solving the continuous log in-log out thing. By the way, I’m using Brave browser, if that helps.
Thanks once again in advance for your time and help! Besides these two issues, the plugin works like a charm.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
    Kind regards.

Hi again. That explains it then, as the post belongs to a “protected” category, only that I read or thought that besides that a post could be “excepted” from protection if ticking the “don’t protect this” option in WordPress. Eventually I was wrong, I guess. Sorry I can’t do that then, but thanks so much for your help.
By the way, one more question: I believed that being the administrator of the site as long as I was logged in in WordPress I didn’t need a separate membership to access the very posts of my site. In fact I’d created an “administrator” membership (with access to ALL categories) in order to avoid to being asked to log in as any other person, however I’m being asked to log in, which took me to register as a separate person in order to do so. Am I forgetting something?
Thanks in advance again for your great help!

    Hi again. I’m in WordPress.
Should I follow the steps in that checklist?

I tried it with an incognito window and it remains the same.

Hi there and thanks for a quick reply. You said:

Are you using any page caching plugins, server modules, or even browser caching?
No, I don’t have any caching plugins running in WordPress. Browser caching: I use Chrome or Brave, that’s all I know.
Thanks in advance again for your help!
