I have the exact same issue as Mi have described.

Problem: Simple membership user stays logged in forever until user press “logout”. We need simple membership plugin to auto logout, when the browser is closed without first logging out.

Any update on setting the simple membership SEASON cookie to have some kind of expiration? This issue has been ongoing since April 24, 2015… Please help?

Thanks but my problem is not admin related..
My site is currently set up to show a member level menu (if you are logged in) and another menu (if you are not logged in) by using the conditional “if menu” plugin.

After a user (membership level) change password in front-end (using form builder addon) and hit submit, it automatically force a temporary logout. But the site still thinks that the user is logged in by displaying the member level menu (as it was logged in) but it is really not logged in.

Then, if the user login through login form it redirects to the profile page that says:
Logged in as
username
Account Status
Active
Membership
Member
Account Expiry
Never
Logout

Instead, it should have automatically redirected the user to the assigned page after they log into your site (using the After Login Redirection addon).

Please help on this very confusing issue of changing password on membership level.
