ParticipantIf this gets addressed I’ll take another look at Simple Membership. Meanwhile, I have switched to Profile Builder in combination with
– Paid Member Subscriptions (to manage membership expiration dates)
– MailChimp for WordPress (to sync members with our MailChimp mailing list)
– Import Users from CSV with Meta (to load my existing members and their meta data)
– User Profile Meta Manager (for users to manipulate all meta fields via WP user profile)
– Members (to create custom roles and manage their capabilities)
– Admin Menu Editor (to control what backend menu items are accessible to each custom role)
– amr users (to create nice online listings of selected member information)
– Front End PM (for member-to-member communication without us exposing email addresses or phone numbers)bob2016
ParticipantHey, thanks for the quick response. I’m impressed!
I’m now using Simple Membership MailChimp Integration Version v1.4
and Simple Membership WP User Import Version 1.5I deleted the previously imported member and imported it again, first into WP and then into SWPM. This time the log file looked good, with the following entries (edited to mask personal information):
[07/02/2016 8:58 PM] – SUCCESS :Mailchimp integration addon. After registration hook. Debug data: listname|email@mailserver.com|firstname|lastname
[07/02/2016 8:58 PM] – SUCCESS :Mailchimp integration – Doing list signup…
[07/02/2016 8:58 PM] – SUCCESS :Checking list name : listname
[07/02/2016 8:58 PM] – SUCCESS :Found a match for the list name on MailChimp. List ID :733b94d99c
[07/02/2016 8:58 PM] – SUCCESS :List ID to subscribe to:733b94d99c
[07/02/2016 8:58 PM] – SUCCESS :MailChimp Signup was successful. The member subsequently received confirmation message from MailChimp but DID NOT get a notification from WordPress/Simple Membership. Prior to the upgrade, the log file entries for members added via the registration screen would begin with a line like:
[06/29/2016 2:43 PM] – SUCCESS :Member notification email sent to: email@mailserver.com
but this line was not present in my latest test.
Other than that, it works like a charm. Many thanks for getting this far so quickly. Please help me get the notification messages working too.

ParticipantI think it is reasonable to expect that these two add-ons work together. Are there any plans to plug this gap in future releases?
If not, can you suggest a way for me to trigger the Mailchimp Integration for the imported members?bob2016
ParticipantThanks for responding. What you are asking me to do is exactly what I have described doing in my initial post. Sorry if that was not clear.

ParticipantAfter running WP User Import for one selected WP user, that user becomes a SM member but does not get invited to subscribe to the corresponding MailChimp list. If I look in the SM debug log file I see MailChimp integration entries for members that I added via the SM registration page before and after the time of running WP User Import, but nothing (not even error messages) at the time of the WP User Import. This tells me that Mail Chimp integration is working but that it is not being invoked for members added by WP User Import.
