ParticipantHi Team,
As an admin, I keep getting logged out of Simple Membership, but not WP. So I have to log out of WP, then log in to SM more often than I would like.
Is there a way for me (and my users) to remain logged in for a long time? (forever? whole year? month?)
How do I change the length of time a user is logged in for?
thanks,

ModeratorSWPM uses login cookies that are separate from those used by WP. Are you using any page caching plugins or server modules? If you are using a page caching plugin, it must be configured properly. Here is how to properly configure the supported SWPM page caching plugins:

On the login page:
If the “Remember Me” box is checked, the login cookie used by the plugin is given an expiration date of 14 days and 12 hours.
If the “Remember Me” box is not checked, the login cookie used by the plugin is given an expiration date of 3 days.
If the member’s browser is configured to clear all cookies, when the browser is closed; the effect is as if the member is logged out, every time they close their browser; regardless of whether or not the “Remember Me” box is checked. YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THIS.
Otherwise, the 14.5 or 3 day cookie expirations will be in force.
If you’d like to shorten or eliminate the 3 day minimum expiry, please see:

ParticipantI’m trying to make the stay logged-in time LONGER! (not shorter)
Can paid support do this too?

If you are being logged out every time you close your browser, it is because your browser is erasing the SWPM login cookies. This kind of issue requires you tell the browser NOT to erase the cookies for your site, when the browser is closed. This kind of issue is something you can do for free.
Paid support would only be of use in this situation, if you want to change the 2 default login cookie lengths, AND YOU ARE CERTAIN your browser isn’t deleting the login cookies.
