Upgrading From Free to Paid

I have setup multiple membership levels on our website. What I have found is that when a user upgrades from free to paid the payment comes through, but their membership level is not updated. They do not receive an email from us saying it has been upgraded either. Here’s the log I get. Anyone had the same issue and know how to resolve it?

I have found the error, but don’t understand why it is occurring when a member account does exist for this ID
