ParticipantHi,
Making tests I have seen that the plugins send emails using the settings in the Emails Setting TAB.It works for almost all the cases that I tested.
BUT … when it has to send the email to notify the Upgrade, the plugin sends the email using the wordpress default email that is set in the “Settings-General” tab of wordpress.
The sender name used is “WordPress”.
This should not be a problem of wordpress, but probably something to fix in the plugin.
In this forum I have read something similar also for the Password Reset.
I hope this can help to improve.
kind regards

ParticipantHi, I have already applied it in the setting page, when i started to use the plugin.
It is not the problem. It works properly for the other email, but not for the email to notify the upgrade.

ModeratorCan you enable debug mode and check the log files after you carried out another test.
Thank you

Kind regards.

ModeratorHi the log file reveals the following many times.
FAILURE :No member found for the given subscriber ID: xxxxxxx
Have you checked to see if you have these members?

ParticipantSorry, I added the last comment in the wrong forum post. But please answer. It is about WHY the user after the upgrade is turned to inactive, in this thread:

ParticipantNothing I continued to make tests. I have to say that the case happens in a way that seems casually. it doesn’t depend of the paypal interface. But for some reason paypal sends the IPN for the cancellation.

ModeratorHi, the e-mail issue you are referring to is showing while you are testing in Sandbox mode. Can you test a real live process.
September 23, 2015 at 12:15 am #3214jscmal
ParticipantNo, I can’t for now.
Then now my question is, did you experience similar problems with IPN using a real account?
September 23, 2015 at 12:50 am #3216mbrsolution
ModeratorThis plugin is used by thousands. So far no one really has had a similar issue as you are experiencing. The only way we can confirm whether or not you have an issue is if you carry out a real live test signup not in sandbox mode.
Then enabling debug mode and checking the log file will reveal the whole process.

ParticipantHi,
I tested in production and during the upgrade i’ve got email from WordPress too, other emails come from what i specified in settings. How to fix that?
Thanks

ParticipantIf anyone still has same issues, I added a plugin “WP Change Default Email” and that solved the issue. The issue was with upgrade membership and with Notice of password change.
