Update-Secure. How can I make adjustments in the plugin update-safe.

Hi,

unfortunately I can not find anything about this in this forum by using “search form”.

I have fixed some “translation-problems” and made some changes in the forms e.g. – where do I have to save this changed files in the WordPressinstallation that there are no looses by updating simple membership maybe to next version.

Would this be alright:

Wordpress/wp-content/uploads/simple-membership/views/…and added the changed php-files?

What would be the right way to do it?

Hi Marie, can you let me know what kind of changes did you make? Are they related to the messages that appear in the plugin when filling in the form or other messages?

Hi,

for example add one line in the registration form, or hide the “join us” link or something like that. And I fixed also a problem with the translation (DE) which are shown in error messages.

Hi for the Join Us link try the following documentation.

With the other changes made by you if they work then I guess that is correct. However you best make a note of your other changes because they will be lost next time you update the plugin.
