Unusual PayPal IPN error: No working transports found

I have made a business PayPal account, set up IPN and followed all SMP documentation. However, if someone pays using a payment button on my website, the payment goes through fine but the email prompting them to confirm their registration is not sending. I have found that this is due to an IPN issue, but I can’t fix it. This is a copy of my log.txt. Also it doesn’t work for sandbox or live.
