ParticipantHi All,
Im using Buddypress and Simple membership plugin.
Everything works fine (literally everything works fine) only that if a member changes there password with buddypress profile panel the page goes to error 404.
I have checked all the plugins and it has to do with buddypress. fact that i know is that when i turn off Simple membership plugin the page doesn’t direct to error 404 after password change.
I also started to talk about it in buddypress:
https://buddypress.org/support/topic/after-password-change-pas-goed-to-404/#post-272390
They said that it was had to do with the plugin of simple M, how can i fix this i love your both plugin so much i really would love to use both plugins.
Please help me with this.
Kind regards,
M

ModeratorThe server displays the 404 error, because BuddyPress is trying to direct the user to a page that either does not exist, or (most likely) one that SWPM thinks the user should not see. When you get the 404 error, look at the browser’s address bar. What does it say?

ParticipantThis is very strange, it suddenly works again no 404 page error. (Buddypress and Simple membership plugin are activated)
Only thing i did was deactivate the plugin (Simple membership plugin) and reactivate again to check what which plugin caused the problem.
I have no idea but it works again now.
If it happens again i will inform you directly.
— While i was typing this above I double checked and the problem still continues, sometimes it says with a green bar “your settings has been saved” and sometimes it directs to 404 page (and logs you out NEW).
The links doesn’t change, https://mysite.com/page-/page–/username/settings/. Settings as in the settings page where you can change the password.
So you begin with the settings page then fill your old and new password in and then press safe it loads again but the link doesn’t change also if it is successful changed the link doesn’t change eighter.
Its not that its trying to get to a page that it does not exists, i noticed it log’s you out when you get the error 404. You have to log back in and that is very strange while if you get lucky to have the green bar that says your settings has been saved you are logged.
