I would like to know how it can be monitored whether a subscription payment went through on the predetermined time basis.
E.g. payment and recurring subscription for 30 days. If the second payment doesn’t arrive after 30 days, is the content restricted again?
Is there a feedback loop between the plugin and paypal?
If the second payment (or any subsequent payemnt) doesn’t arrive, then PayPal sends a notification to this plugin (informing the plugin). It will then block that users access.
You can log into your PayPal account and view/monitor the subscription payment (and their next charge date) if you want to.
