WordPress Membership Plugin
Simple Membership Plugin › Forums › Simple Membership Plugin › Site Admins need to login again to access protected content
I have some pages that have “general protection” (so not visible for website visitors that are not logged in). The pages are visible for the membership level “member”.
If I am logged in as an admin user on the site (WordPress role ‘Administrator’) and visit one of these pages, I am presented with the message to log on.
Is it possible to allow unrestricted access for WP-admins without requiring a second login?
Even if I import my admin user into Simple Membership, giving it the membership level “member”, I am still presented with the message to log on.
Doesn’t really make sense, particularly as an admin, I can then directly edit the content that Simple Membership is blocking from view!
Many thanks in advance.
Hmm. Furthermore, when I then attempt to login using my admin credentials in order to see the protected content, the login is refused with a message from Simple Membership saying that my admin session would be ended if the login were to be allowed.
I if test this with a WP-user with the role “subscriber”, imported into Simple Membership with the level “member”, they can login successfully.
Is it just a problem with users with the WP role “admin”?
Hi, please check the following documentation. Let me know if this is what you are looking for.
Thank you
Importing the admin user into Simple Membership and logging out and in again solved the problem. Many thanks!
You are most welcome 😉
