WordPress Membership Plugin
Simple Membership Plugin › Forums › Simple Membership Plugin › Several memberships for 1 customer
I have installed the free version of Simple Membership.
Is it possible for a customer to have more than one membership on 1 email adress? What I see is that when a customer allready has a memberhship I have to ask for a different email adress to give them another membership aswell. On the account of the customer I can only select 1 kind of membership.
Is this possible in the free version or must I buy the Premium? How can I fix this?
Regards,
Miranda
Hi, unfortunately no. Our plugin integrates with WordPress. WordPress doesn’t let you create multiple user accounts with the same email address or username.
Can you share with us why you need to create two accounts for same member? I am curious to know.
Thank you
Hi,
Pitty…… 🙁
The website offers different memberships. So a customer can buy a bronze, silver or gold memebership for a daily login. But also he or she kan buy a membership to login to a sort of digital book that they can read online with a login.
But when a customer has for example a gold memberhsip he cannot get a login for the book because they have the same email address.

If they register using a Gmail account, say “johnrwilliams@gmail.com” they can also use:
john.r.williams and johnr.williams and john.rwilliams and any email sent to the Gmail account will still go to the johnrwilliams email account. In other words, Gmail ignores periods in an email address. Ditto with “+” plus signs.
