    Hi SWMP Team

I provided my situation and confusion below. Questions are in bold. Your help is appreciated.

I am using your membership plugin for registrations for webinars. We offer one time purchases and memberships. I have a solution for regular events. People can only book one week in advance for events that run weekly. If they want to attend multiple weekly events, we have a membership level.

We also have special events on weekends. The special events are trickier, we hold 2 or 3 a month. They’re listed up to 3 months in advance. So, we can have 6 – 9 special events on the site at any given time. I am trying to figure out how to set it up a payment system for many events that would work for many years.

Would I be best just to create 52 membership level IDs (one per week, so I can use it every year without having to worry about limitations on the number of events)? This would allow all the buttons to be live. People could sign up for any of these special events in advance and only attend that event. Can I create unique buttons in PayPal (to allow for identifiers to be added for the accounting team) and use the advanced fields setting to include the notifier – ie swpm_process_ipn=1 custom=subsc_ref=5? If I understand correctly, I could also create my own buttons and have them direct to the correct PayPal url, ie https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=L7#########KL

Are these the best solutions or does your plugin allow for something simpler?

Hi, as far as I can tell your solutions might be the best options so far. Here are the instructions https://simple-membership-plugin.com/creating-a-paypal-button-for-your-membership-payment/ for using the Advanced Variables code.

With the Advanced Variables code, please make sure you carry out some test before finalizing your settings. Let me know how you go.

    Thank you
