ParticipantHi. In your recent update to the main plugin, a custom field for the notification email to admin when a new member subscribes has been added. This is a great edition in principle, however I cannot get it to work. I have ticked the box to send a notification email and the admin email address is also entered, however rather than getting an admin email with the content in the the ‘Admin Notification Email Body’ field, it just seems to send a copy of the email sent to the new subscriber, which is exactly what it did before you made the change. It can’t see what would be causing this, other than an issue with the new version of the plugin’s code. Any ideas? Many thanks 🙂

ModeratorHi, did you add any custom message or email tags in the box for the new added feature?

ParticipantYes. I wrote a custom email in the box and also used tags for member name, username etc.
That custom email doesn’t seem to send, rather admin just receives a copy of the email sent to the member, which is what used to happen before the update.

ModeratorHi, that is very strange. I have carried out numerous test and it works for me. Try the following, disable all your other plugins and carry out another test by subscribing a new user.
But before you begin make sure you enable Debug mode. After the registration check the log file.
Let me know how you go.
Regards

ParticipantHi. I’ve run it again. I’m still getting a copy of the email sent to the new member to the admin email account, not the bespoke admin email. The debugging text suggests the email should have been sent:
[10/06/2016 12:03 PM] – SUCCESS :Form builder addon – admin notification email sent to: xxx@csfleak.info
But what seems to be happening is that an email is indeed being sent to admin, but it’s the wrong email.

ModeratorSo you are saying that the wrong e-mail is sent to the admin even though you added a different e-mail in the Admin Email Address box?
October 6, 2016 at 10:28 pm #8488CSFLA
ParticipantYes. That’s exactly the problem. I have triple checked everything and run it with no other plugins activated and it does the same thing. The admin email account receives a notification email, but instead of the email being the one entered into the appropriate box in the settings page, it is a copy of the email sent to the new member (which is how it was before this recent plugin upgrade supposedly introduced the bespoke notification email option).

ModeratorOkay Do you have any email redirects set in place in your server? Check your server log files. I have tested this myself on one of my live servers and it works for me.

ParticipantI have checked everything. I cannot see anything wrong my side. There are no redirects on the server. Everything is working fine for everything else. The problem remains that while your plugin is sending a notification email to admin, it’s the wrong email. It’s the old style email which copies the subscribers confirmation and not the bespoke notification email text, as entered into the control panel.

ModeratorHi, are you using the Form Builder add-on? Do you have anything entered or set up under Confirmation and Notification?

ParticipantHi There, I’m having EXACTLY this issue too.
Using form builder.
I have an email set up in the “notification” section of the form which sends correctly to the person who registers.
However, ad min just gets a mail that says:
A new member has registered. The following email was sent to the member.
——-Member Email———-
[copy of notification email from form builder]Not sure if you got to the bottom of the OP’s issue, but it would be great to know if there is a resolution.
The admin notification will *really* simplify the process for our site when someone new registers.
Thanks

ParticipantYes, I am using form builder.
I have customised html text for confirmation.
I have nothing selected for ‘send confirmation email to user’.

ParticipantJust wanted to add I’m also having this issue. Nothing checked in Form Builder. In WP Membership > Settings > Email Settings I have “Send Notification to Admin” checked, and have entered custom text entered in the “Admin Notification Email Body.” The custom text I have is:
Here are the details:
Name: {first_name} {last_name}
Email: {email}
Username: {user_name}
Password: {password}However, when a new member registers, admin only receives the “A new member has registered. The following email was sent to the member.” followed by the text specified in the “Email Body” section in WP Membership > Settings > Email Settings.
Thanks!
Joe

ParticipantThat’s three users with the exact same problem. Surely there must be a coding issue with the recent plugin update? It looks to be calling the wrong data into the email sent to admin.

ModeratorHi, what version of Form Builder add-on do you currently have installed? Please to make you have the latest version. Click on the following URL re-download-the-purchased-addons to download the latest version.
Once you have carried out the above report back and let me know if you still have issues.
Thank you
