Tagged: join us page, mailchimp list, registration shortcode
Hi:
Since I am only giving free membership level, the Join Us page is technically not needed. But removing it is also creating complications for me. So instead I am planning to copy the registration page shortcode into the Join Us page so that it acts as a registration page. Can I do this? Can I also let the current registration page also remain as is (with its shortcode) since that is where people will be redirected after they click on the link in their emails to confirm their wish to join?
I hope having the same registration shortcode in both Join Us and Registration pages will not create any problems?
Also one more doubt: it looks like there is no way to set single optin for MailChimp. By default the member is getting into the MailChimp list as a double opt-in where he get the email asking for confirmation of subscription to mailchimp list. is this a default setting? Or can the system be changed anywhere to single opt-in for MailChimp?
Thanks and regards,

Hi, you might like to read the following documentation in regards to the registration process.
The MailChimp add-on does not control the double opt-in feature from MailChimp. It only integrates a member to the MailChimp list.
