InactiveCan anyone tell me how to get past the login page if the user is already logged in? I do not have members only pages accessible to the public that are for Homeowner access only. Once they login, then additional screens are available for payment options and access to other homeowners. The problem is that those pages are not found via the main menu or sidebars–I tried, but they would not page protect from the public so I removed them. Now I have a problem with users clicking on public pages after they login and then can’t get back to the “homeowner only” pages because it takes them back to the login screen and alerts them that they are already logged in. Is there a setting that will recognize the user as logged in and then go to the URL page I’ve setup as the after login redirect? I tried using the redirect add-on, too, with no luck.
thanks!

ModeratorHi, can you provide step by step how the user “member” signs up and then logs in? I am trying to understand exactly what you are trying to achieve.
Thank you

InactiveWhen a member logs into the private sections of the website at: https://windwardoaksontherez.website/membership-login/
Once they login, it opens a members only page: https://windwardoaksontherez.website/homeowners-membership/ (which you can view now, as the click here below the login will take you to this page, even when page protected)
I need to remove the click here link at the bottom of the login page because it opens to the public no matter what I do.
Here’s the problem:
1. I log in and can access any page behind the login, because new pages open from the https://windwardoaksontherez.website/homeowners-membership/ page that cannot be found anywhere before log in
2. If I click on the blog page, or home page etc, it kicks me out of these hidden pages because I can only access them when I login. My question is generating from the point #2 above. Once I click a page outside the private member pages and want to go back to them I can no longer access them without logging out and back in. I need to redirect a logged in user automatically back to https://windwardoaksontherez.website/homeowners-membership/ if they click the login page.
I created a dummy account, if you want to see what is happening from the member side:
https://windwardoaksontherez.website/membership-login/
user: testmember pass: testing12Thanks!

ModeratorHi, are you login in as an administrator? Or are you login in as a normal member?
If you are login in as an administrator and you want to have access to protected pages and post then try the following documentation.
Do you have a cache plugin?
If those pages are hidden from the menu and or sidebar, then this plugin has no control over that. This plugin only controls pages and post content.
Let me know if you need more help.
Regards

InactiveI’m logged in under test User acct. The simple membership documentation (https://simple-membership-plugin.com/configure-login-redirection-members/) shows a picture of the create levels and at the bottom of the screen in red box is a redirect option. I should be able to go there and put the page shortcode and resolve a logged in user getting stuck on login page as already active. I’ve ended up bailing out of simple membership redirect and used business rules to get around. However, they might want to work on that. 🙂

ModeratorHi, so what is your current situation? Is your issue resolved?
What do you mean by.
However, they might want to work on that.

InactiveIt would be easier if I could attach a screenshot of the page I could not get around at all. I ended up creating two menus and rerouting the authorized users into all open pages rather than trying to lock pages through simple membership. Before that, when I wanted to go to the member only pages of the site, it took me to the login page and notified me that I was already active. I had no way to get to the pages because it would not redirect an active login member to the redirect page. I hope this makes sense, but whatever kept me from being able to avoid the already active page was a mystery that even paid support ended up not helping me with and refunded the money instead.
I’m all good with my work around. Thanks for trying to figure this one out, though.
