    Hello,

The quick notification email that is sent from the member menu has stopped working.

    I have tested the following-
When a member enrolls in membership, there is a confirmation email that is sent to the member and to the administrator. This function is setup on the Simple WP Membership::Settings page under Email Settings (Registration Complete). This function is working both for the member and the admin. I am also able to kick off the password reset email that is also set up on the the same Simple WP Membership::Settings page.

We also have a contact form on our site (not wp-membership), using the same Bluehost server credentials and that is also working and emails are being sent. Therefore I have determined that our problem with the membership quick notification email is not a server issue or an email issue.

This is an issue with the membership plugin’s quick notification email. This function is on the Edit member screen, it is a check box that indicates to “Notify” a user (we use this when we change the user from pending to active). This was working up until recently (not sure when it stopped working as our member just told us).

The debugging is turned on and there is no error that is recording for this issue.

There are no additional settings that I can find for the “quick notification email.” I have read the FAQ on this section and it is not giving me any troubleshooting information if an email isn’t sent. Please advise.

    Thank you,
    Tracey Johnson

I forgot to mention two things.

    1. The simple membership version we are running is Version 3.1.9.

    2. I have two sites running the membership plugin, both are hosted under the same account at Bluehost, on the same server.
The membership site running version 3.1.9 stopped sending the quick notification email.
The membership site running version 3.1.8 is able to send the quick notification email.

    Thank you,
    Tracey Johnson

Hi, have you read the following troubleshooting instructions?

    Yes I have.
Did you read my entire test sequence?

All the emails in the Membership plugin are working EXCEPT for the quick notification email.
And it appears to be an issue with your latest upgrade to 3.1.9, because the 3.1.8 version under the same account in bluehost is working.

Thank you for reporting back. The plugin developers will investigate further your issue.

    Kind regards

Nothing has changed in that functionality. I just tested it myself just to be sure and that quick notification email is DEFINITELY working in the latest version of the plugin.
