Problem when the User Changes the Subscription – Test with Real PayPal Account

Hi,
continuing from other discussions that I opened in past about problems when the user change the subscription.

I tested the situation with a Real Paypal Account.

When a subscribed user that is already paying a subscription goes to buy another subscription, I can confirm these things:

1 – The new recurring payment starts. BUT the previous one is not stopped (not so much important, it can be managed manually).

2 – The new subscription starts, the user gets the new membership Level. BUT the WordPress User Role is not changed to the new one used for the new membership level. the user continues to have the User Role of the Membership Level that he had before.

3 – The user data are not sent to the MailChimp List that was set for the New Membership Level.

In practice:

When a user wants to start a new subscription I have:

1 – stop the recurring payment that is active
2 – ask it to click the button to pay for the new subscription
3 – I have to get the confirmation that the user has now the new memebership role
4 – I have to change manually the WordPress User Role
5 – I have to add the new user to the Mailchimp List for the new role
6 – I have remove manually the user from the MailChimp list of the previous Membership Level.

Some of these problems has to be fixed by the developers, others no.

Hi thank you for providing this thorough report. The plugin developers will investigate further your findings.

Just one question in regards to the following error log message.

FAILURE :No member found for the given subscriber ID: I-80V2L1DVDN60

Do you know who the ID belongs to?

yes. there only 1 user in my website that make payments.

that user started the new subscription.

That failure happens because later, after the starting of the new subscription and then the new recurring payment, the same user stopped on paypal the recurring payment for the subscription that he had before.
