Post Payment Processing Page Redirect Options

Hi,

I’ve gone through the documentation and cant seem to find if it’s possible to redirect the user to a different page once the payment has been confirmed. Is this possible ?

After a payment has been processed using PayPal, the user sees a popup “Transaction completed successfully!”, the user is not redirected to any page, ideally I’d want the user to be redirected to a Thank You page and indicating the next steps (i.e a registration email will be sent to complete the registration)

After closing the window popup “Transaction completed successfully!”, the user closes popup and is shown the “membership-join” page where they initially landed to make a payment.

BTW, there is a 30% chance the user will see the Thank You page, before PayPal has a chance to send the IPN to the plugin. If this occurs, the user will still receive a registration email.

Thanks. I added the link in the Payments menu.

I see that a users physical address details are captured during the payment process and added to the profile, is there a way to prevent the address from being stored ?

I’d feel more comfortable with only requiring an email address that in the event of a compromise the only data that is accessed is an email and not physical address.

PayPal collects the BILLING ADDRESS, as part of the payment process; and it is required. On your end; because the BILLING ADDRESS is not necessarily the same as the member’s address; it is NOT STORED in the member’s registration profile. I think what you are seeing is the member typing their address into the registration form.

I have no issues with PayPal collecting the billing address.

What’s happening is listed below:

1. User signs up for membership and goes through PayPal payment process.
2. User is taken to the Thank You page to complete the registration (only the username and password is requested).
3. User is now fully registered and views profile, the address is already populated. This indicates that during the PayPal payment stage the billing address is copied from PayPal back to the plugin.

The user is not asked directly to enter the physical address in any form except from PayPal’s side.

If you used the Form Builder Addon, and removed the offending fields; they will not be populated in the profile.
