ParticipantHey guys,
I am using the plugin to allow subscriptions that keep certain pages gated. My buttons, API codes, and gating all work, but when a user goes to pay, it asks them to add a card (even if they already have one associated), and then will just reload the page when the user hits add. There is nothing wrong with the account or the card, and they are both different than the one that the user is trying to pay. Any advice?January 13, 2025 at 11:54 pm #29384The Assurer
ModeratorOnce a user clicks a button, and is transferred to the PayPal website; the outcome of all further interactions are at the discretion of PayPal. You did not specify what country the user or the website is located in. Nor have you indicated if this is a single or multiple user issue. Perhaps there is a local PayPal restriction on debit card usage. The only way to find out, is to call the PayPal support line.

ParticipantWe are both in the US, and I guess it’s a single user issue because I’m just testing it. I tested with another account, and it worked, but now I’m trying to revert it back to the real account and it is now not allowing me to create webhooks. “Create Live Webhook: Unknown error occurred while creating the webhook.: null” is the error. I’ve cleared the token cache and other webhooks as well.

ParticipantI’m setting up a website for a user, and I do not have access to his Paypal, so I used my mom’s Paypal connected to the buttons to test. Using her Paypal, I was able to make the payment, but once I switched it back to the original user’s API credentials, it wouldn’t let me create webhooks for either of their API credentials.

ParticipantUnfortunately, if the plugin does not allow me to create webhooks, I probably have to uninstall and use a different plugin. I’ve deactivated, uninstalled, cleared token cache, etc.

KeymasterHi, Debit card add action refreshing the page is a PayPal account related issue. It’s not coming from this plugin. Anything you see within the PayPal’s payment window is controlled by PayPal. From my experience I think it has something to with the PayPal cookie getting stuck in the browser. Empty the browser cache and cookies. Then try again with a fresh browser. If that doesn’t solve it, the account owner needs to contact PayPal support since it is a PayPal account related issue.
If you have used one set of API keys to do testing and now want to change it to a different account, make sure to delete all trace of the previous account first.
#1) First, go to the “Payment Settings” -> “PayPal Webhooks” tab and delete the webhooks.
#2) Then go to the “PayPal API” tab and click the “Delete PayPal Token Cache” button to delete the token cache.
#3) Now, you can configure the new API keys again:
