Simple Membership Plugin › Forums › Simple Membership Plugin › Need to make a field non-editable on the Edit Profile page
Hi,
I’m using version 3.5.6 and am using the field company_name to hold some custom data. I now see that in 3.5.8 the field company_name has been made editable in the Edit Profile page. How do I stop this field being editable as I do not want people editing the data I am holding in that field?

Hi, Too many users have requested to make the company name field editable by the member (and it makes sense to do that) so we had to change it in the plugin.
However, you can easily hide that field from the member’s edit profile page using a little CSS tweak (thus getting the same behavior as before). The following documentation has the CSS code you need to use to hide the company name field in the edit profile form:
