ParticipantHi
I am using the plugin on a basic membership site with recurring payments.
Now…
I am not a developer, and I have a LOT to learn when it comes to the deeper tech stuff.
I tried doing some sandbox testing, and failed…:)
(not sure if ti was me or the sandbox – I was able to do it successfully i the past, but apparently paypal changed some things)
I have had a few hassles working with Paypal directly (some things only seem to work some of the time) – so I would like to use Payspree (instant pay affiliate network and payment processing) to handle payments.
(and to get affiliates)
The problem I have is that, while I can create a signup page that will allow people to join, I won’t know if they cancel.
Now…
when you create a billing button on Payspree, it allows you to set an IPN URL and secret code.
Can I use that function to let the plugin know the person actually paid? And how? Do I need the IPN secret?
Can I just add the URL from the advanced variables snippet the plugin gave me?
notify_url=http://www.write4cash.net/?swpm_process_ipn=1
custom=subsc_ref=3Also, Payspree works by “rotating sales” between vendors and affiliates. Will it work even if the affiliate doesn’t have IPN enabled on his/her account?
ok, so I’m green…:) And Paypal’s developer info gives me information overload (guess there is too much I need to learn).
Any input will be appreciated.
Thanx
Peter

ModeratorHi Peter, thank you for your request an interest in using our plugin. At the moment there is no integration process for the service you requested. The plugin developers will investigate further your request.
Thank you

ParticipantThank you very much. I really hope there is a simple way to do this.
The biggest challenge with Payspree is that you do not have the full button code tow ork with as you do with a Paypal button – you enter all the info as a vendor, and the system generates a URL and a button image URL. That makes it simple to use, but it also limits what you can do with it. If I had access to the complete code I could figure out where to add the variables code into it.

KeymasterI am not familiar with the “Payspree” solution at all unfortunately.

Participantpayspree.com is a very simple, user-friendly affiliate network. They simply rotate the sales between vendors and affiliates for instant paypal payments, pretty much like the old rapid action profits script. The difference is that, unlike the RAP script, setting it up is simple.
Instant commissions can be a good draw card to get affiliates. Also, there is no need to handle affiliate payments at a later stage.
And because the payments go directly to the person getting the sale (vendor or affiliate), it is impossible for an affiliate to buy through his or her own link (you cannot make a paypal payment to yourself).
The only drawback is that refunds have to be honored by the seller (which will be the affiliate in some cases). if the affiliate can’t or won’t honor the refund, you can ban the affiliate, but you may have to carry the refund yourself to preserve your reputation as a product owner.
The other upside is that they already have an existing affiliate base, so once you get into the marketplace you have the opportunity to recruit affiliates on autopilot.
