ParticipantHi,
Before WP4.7, Nav User roles (a plugin which allows to hide menu items based on user role) would display its options in the menu editor, including the “Simple Membership” user levels and thus my menu items could be hidden for more specific roles than the default WP ones. Since WP4.7, this is not working anymore.
I was now hoping your Simple Membership Menu extension plugin would be able to help me, but it doesn’t. It is installed, but the menu looks exactly as before. Also no extra entries in the Admin menu.Please help as my menu kinda exploded.
Thx

ModeratorHi, is that plugin the one you mentioned above up to date? Have you spoken to the plugin developers about your current issue?

ParticipantThe developer of that plugin has not responded to my inquiries either. That plugin was working fine until the most recent wordress update and then it stopped completely on 2 different sites with totally different configurations. However, I have found a solution that works.
First thing that has to be done is when creating memberships in form builder, you have to select different wordpress user roles for each membership level.
Then install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/menu-items-visibility-control/
I used the following tag, which is mentioned in the plugin description:
in_array(‘administrator’, $GLOBALS[‘current_user’]->roles)
substituting the appropriate role for the appropriate item that needs to be hidden.
It worked great for my application. I am sure the other tags can be modified to fit other parameters.

Nav user roles, and menu-items-visibility are not my preferred solutions.Why can’t I use your Simple Membership Menu extension plugin? It is installed, but the edit menu page looks exactly as before (no Menu extention to be found). Also no extra entries in the Admin menu.Thx

Moderator@Jeroen, the following plugin you mentioned above (Simple Membership Menu extension plugin) does not belong to us. This is a third party plugin. We have no control over this plugin.
What I suggest you try is the following. Disable all your other plugins except this one and simple membership menu extension. Then carry out a test. This will let you know whether it is a plugin conflict or not.
Regards
