ModeratorHi, did you also enable protection of the categories?
October 17, 2015 at 9:56 pm #3546jscmal
ParticipantHi, everything is set, categories are enabled, I made tests for may weeks and everything works properly.
The content is not visible for people not logged or for people not in the specific membership.
but anyway the post or page is loaded from any user (at least any logged user), just the text inside the page is not visible to people that are not in the member level.
The comment works in the same way.
But just the use of the More Tag makes that particular thing.
Of course when I make a post, I don’t care to set manually the restriction for that specific content because it is in a category managed by the plugin, then I see that restriction are applied automatically.

ParticipantI made a new test now, to be more sure.
If I am a logged user that want to comment in a content that is not in his membership level, I can do it. the plugin makes it possible, but the comment becomes not visible for the members level of the user that has added it.
If I add a comment to a post where the More Tag is not added, the comment box is visible, but its content is visible only for the member level.
if I add a comment to a post where the More Tag is added, the comment box is visible, it’s content is not visible for user not in the members restriction of the post, BUT in the comment box I see the text of the post that precede the More Tag applied.

ModeratorThank you for providing more information. Would you be able to test one of WordPress default themes like Twenty Fifteen. I am just wondering if your theme might be causing this issue or even a plugin.

ParticipantHi. the problem happens also with the theme Twenty Fifteen. it is related only with the feature “More Tag”. If I don’t apply the More Tag, things work properly inside the comment box.

ParticipantHello! First I want to thank you for the great plugin you made. I love it.
Now I’ve got the similar issue with more tag protection and comments.
So everything like it was described but there is differencies in my config: category protection is off, I don’t need it.I’ve got twentysixteen standart theme with a little bit custom css in child theme, but think it’s not a problem.
So my problem:
I have pages with more tag protection with enabled comments. Comments only for logged users.
1. Page without comments with more tag protection — everything OK.
2. Page with one added comment — BUG. Text, that were before More tag shows in the comment text before the “You need to login to view the rest of the content”.Do you need any information to check this issue? How could I help?
I really love your plugin and it will be the big problem for me if there are no decision :()March 6, 2016 at 8:39 pm #5659dimabuko
ParticipantAlso if I check this comment in wp-admin — the content of my article shows in the text of comment:
check it on screen — https://www.dropbox.com/s/wvyls9qe3ebnexs/Zrzut%20ekranu%202016-03-06%2023.37.25.png?dl=0But if I try to edit it — there are no that content, only the comment:

ParticipantAlso if there are no solution to fix it may be there is solution with comments (maybe using some comments plugin or smth)
Or may be it’s possible to hide comments block for everyone without access level (now plugin hide only content of comment and there is no big sense to do this that way).

ModeratorHi @dimabuko are you trying to edit the protected post or pages while logged in as Admin? If you are can you read the following instructions.
Let me know if the above helps you.
Thank you

ParticipantUnfortunately, there is still no solution for the problem.
@mbrsolution, the problem is that if you have a content with the more tag, a user that is not able to read the content, he see the same text of the post until the more tag, published in any comment to the post.Post:
This is an example. The rest of the content is not permitted for your membership level.Comment text:
This is an example. The rest of the content is not permitted for your membership level.I have the same text visible in any comment added, when a user open a post that is not permitted for his subscription plan.

Participant@mbrsolution yes, I edited protected pages while was logged in as admin. And there wasn’t problem with that. I follow instructions you mention and import my admin user. But it doesn’t matter the problem isn’t resolved. Nothing changed.
Also I should mention that the main problem that the guest user come to page with comments, where part of content is protected, he saw strange bug with repeated text of content.

Participant@mbrsolution, @jscmal How do you think if we hide all comments from guest users (ex. http://wpsites.net/web-design/hide-comments-logged-out-users/) it could help?
