I had this plugin working perfectly, and now I’m having lots of issues with it.

Like most sites, we have some content protected, and some available to everyone. Our entire shopping cart, products, and checkout are protected.

The problem I’m having is when a user logs in, they are taken to the main page and not able to access any of the protected content. It acts like they are not logged in. When they open the membership-login page, it asks for Username and Password again. If they type it in, as to login again, it takes them to the proper membership-login page that displays their status with LogOut button.

However, it still does not allow them to see the protected content.

The only way to see the protected content is if I edit the pages to set them with no protection, then set back to protected again, and they will show up only the first time somebody logs in. After that, they switch back to not working, giving the standard error “You need to login to view this content. Please Login. Not a Member? Join Us”

I cannot figure out what is stopping the pages from working.

I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled the simple membership plugin. I’ve tested it on pages that don’t contain shopping carts or other plugins, and they do not work either. I have a test page with protected content and I am unable to get it to protect properly.

    Any suggestions? Help?

What you described sounds like a caching or PHP Session issue. Do you have a caching plugin on this site? Is your server using caching on their end?
