I understand the membership registration process is:
Join Us > Pick a Membership Level > Pay via PayPal > Fill in Registration Form > Membership Approval via Admin > Membership activated
However, what if your member pays for their membership, then they fill in the registration form, and because they uploaded the wrong proof of identity documents (for example), their account gets rejected? Or can they re-upload documents in the registration form again? Surely there will be issues with payment refunds and payment cancellations here?
*Is there a way of the members being able to: fill in the registration form > Get approved by Admin > Pay for membership > Activate membership?
Please advise, as the whole approving members workflow seems pointless after the payment process.
Many thanks in advance,
Rosie
Hi, at present the plugin registration process works as described in the following documentation.
OK so this process can’t be changed?
AND where does the ‘member approval process’ happen during this process please?
Many thanks
Rosie
There is a setting in the plugin that allows you to control the approval of a new member. Perhaps this will help you further with what you are trying to achieve.
This can be located under WP Membership -> Settings. Then locate the following option Default Account Status and change it to pending.
