ParticipantApologies, I think Im about to ask a tonne of questions here:
I have set up the plugin to allow newly registered members (Taster Members) access to certain parts of the website. I have also set up a paid membership area, which members can pay for via Stripe and Paypal.
Question 1: When a new member registers, how do I assign a membership level? this should be automatic, but I cant make it work. You will see from the image below, the Membership Level box is empty, but I want it to automatically assign “Taster Member (ID 5)” to newly registered members to allow them access to the Free areas.

For reference, here are the membership levels I have set up: “(5) – Taster Member” is free. Then, depending on which choir the member pays to join, that should then assign a new membership level.

Question 2: When a member has registered as a Taster Member, then has decided to join/pay for the choir, how does the system allocate their payment to their account? What I mean is, as a new member, I register for a taster membership. I like what I see, so I log into my account and then click on the PayPal button to allow me to buy a membership. Does the system automatically upgrade my membership? or would an administrator have to go in and manually match up the payment with the membership account?
The website is: https://www.showchoir.co.uk
Thanks In Advance

ParticipantHi mbrsolution.
Thank you for your reply.
I have already read those documents.
Q1: The issue I am facing is, as shown in the pictures attached to the OP, with membership levels, I have assigned a “free” ,membership level, but when a new member registers, the “Membership Level” box remains empty. I have to manually go in and assign this membership level.
Q2:Are you saying that if I a member is logged in as a free member, when they go through the payment system (PayPal or Stripe) the system will automatically assign their payment to their account and it will automatically upgrade them?Joe

The answer to Q2 is “yes.”
For Q1, what do you have for the “Free Membership Level ID” setting? And by what process are you registering new members?

ParticipantI have set up a registration form using the SWPM Form Builder add on. This registers the member as a Free Member (Member ID:5)
But when I look at the list of members, (See Pic 1 above) the Membership Level is blank. At this point, I need to go into the Dashboard, into the member profile and edit the membership level manually.June 1, 2018 at 11:58 am #14575The Assurer

Please submit a Premium Addon Support request, and explain the registration form you created is not setting the membership level.

ParticipantI have submitted a Premium Add On Support Ticket.
How will I know when it is being dealt with? Will it be via email or in a forum?
Thanks again

You will receive an email response, from a developer. If the issue is suspected to have ANYTHING to do with a Premium Addon you purchased; use the Premium Addon support.
