Membership integration with phpBB?

I have understood that there are plugins (both WP & phpBB side) to make single sign on feature with WP site and related phpBB discussion forum. Do you know how this might work when creating users through Simple Membership Plugin?

Functionality that we are dreaming of:
1. User logs in member area of our WP site (with simple membership plugin)
2. User navigates to linked phpBB discussion forum
–> WP relays membership login info to phpBB, and user is automatically logged in to the discussion forum

Is this possible?

Main user account management could be in either WP or phpBB side, but user info should be in sync with both of the systems.

Hi, unfortunately I have never used phpBB myself. You could carry out a test yourself and report back any findings. This could help us know if our plugin works in the manner you described above.
