WordPress Membership Plugin
Simple Membership Plugin › Forums › Simple Membership Plugin › Membership doesn't say expired until next login attempt
I have tested the plugin and it appears (unless I am doing something wrong) that a user is listed at “active” even though their membership has expired. When they next try to login they get changed to expired. This could be quite confusing for the admin, seeing active members even though they have actually expired.
Am I missing something, or is this just how it works? If so, is there a workaround?
Hi Jim, thank you for reaching out to us.
I have tested the plugin and it appears (unless I am doing something wrong) that a user is listed at “active” even though their membership has expired.
Can you provide more information regarding your issue. For example: When you created the membership account was it a free or paid account? Did you register via the registration form or manually added the account? Was the membership level set to 1 day or more for expiration?
If you decide to carry out another test, can you enable debug mode before you begin. Then once your have completed the test, can you check the log file.
Let me know how you go.
Kind regards
Hi,
I have figured it out, seems the plugin uses the wp-cron method and activates the subscription changes once per day. This is fine in practice but caught me out in testing. I used a plugin to change this to once per hour (for testing) and it works fine now.
Thanks,
Jim
I am glad you worked out what was wrong and resolved your issue.
Enjoy the plugin 😉
