Membership – Ad Free

Hi,

I’m after a very simple membership option and that is, paid members don’t see any advertising on the site.

Is this something simple to do?

That’s interesting.
But, to my knowledge, I’d say that you can’t do it with SMP. Unless you want to duplicate all your pages withoud ad blocks for members.
Might be OK if you’ve got only 1 or 2 pages. Plublic ones will get ads and protected duplicates won’t get any. As for the menu on you site, NavMenu Roles is a great plugin to customize menus depending on membership levels.

I’d say that you need a more sophisticated plugin, that allows shortcode protection. A great one is Restrict Content Pro. It’s powerful, well coded, greatly supported and not very expensive.
Another option is to look at WPMUdev.org
I don’t like their plugins but if my memory is correct, they do have plugins to hide ads for logged in members.
