ParticipantI have just tried to view my members so that I can change a password, but no pages/members are showing. I click on WP Membership>Members, and the page tries to load, but when it finishes the page is empty. Where have all my members gone?
I am on the latest WordPress 4.4.2 running Twenty Twelve theme. SWP Membership is Version 3.1.8 I haven’t added any new plugins lately. It was working fine a couple of hours ago.
All the other parts of SWP Membership are accessible if I click on those sections first, but when I click on Members I get nothing, and then the other options freeze.
Is there a limit on how many members I can have, because I am up to 7,600 at the moment.
I have de-activated SWP and re-activated it, but still I cannot get to my members.
Do you know what might be the problem?
Cheers,

ModeratorHi JohnF, how much memory do you have allocated to your WordPress website? You might have a PHP session problem, click on the following URL PHP Session Not Working Correctly.

ParticipantHi mbrsolution,
I have the maximum memory that my host recommends, but following your link provided the solution. It was the plugin WP Statistics which, although I have had it running for 2 months, appears to have developed a conflict. Deleting that plugin has restored my member pages.
Many thanks,

ParticipantHi mbrsolution,
The problem re-appeared this morning, so I contacted my host: Bluehost. They say that there are no php issues from their end. They checked the SWP Membership plugin and found that it is not updated properly, and to get back to you. I am running version 3.1.9 which I believe was issued yesterday. My WordPress is version 4.4.2 running Twenty Twelve theme.
The plugin seems to be running OK otherwise, and my members are not noticing anything unusual. I just need, obviously, to be able to get at my members pages.
Hope you can help,

ModeratorHi JohnF, can you reinstall the plugin again. Sometimes that fixes the problem.

ParticipantHi mbrsolution,
I have de-activated your plugin, and then re-activated it a number of times. The member pages sometimes then display for a while, but just now they are blank again. It’s as though there is a memory leak somewhere.
When you say reinstall, what do you mean? Am I right in saying that if I DELETE the plugin I will lose all my members? I don’t want to lose all my 7,500 members.
Cheers,

ModeratorHi, yes you can delete the plugin and not loose any settings or members. However I always suggest to create a backup before you carry out this action just in case something goes wrong especially when you have 7,500 members.
From what you are telling me there seems to be a memory leak somewhere. You might have a conflict with another plugin? Can you check the server log files? Also enable debug mode in WordPress, this will also help you troubleshoot your random blank screen.

ParticipantOK, will do, but it is bedtime here now, so I will continue with this tomorrow.
Thanks,

ParticipantThis is to let you know that my site stopped working altogether today. On investigation my host discovered there had been a malware attack. Of course, if this started a few days ago, it could be the malware that was responsible for the blank pages in SWP Membership.
The malware has now been removed and SiteLock purchased, so there is no need for you to take this further. I will continue to monitor the situation but, hopefully, the problem has been resolved.
Many thanks for your help.

ParticipantMy members listings pages are once again blank, so it was nothing to do with the malware attack I suffered 2 days ago.
The only way I can see my members is if I momentarily de-activate *all* my plugins, then re-activate them. I can see them, then, for an hour or two, before they go blank again.
Both my host, and yourself, have suggested that I delete the plugin and re-instal. When I start doing this, I am warned that a whole load of files (about 400) will be deleted. I know you have said before, but please reassure me again that these files are not data files, i.e. those containing all the details of my members, my different memberships, etc., but your plugin program files.
If this is the case, where are those data files, and is there a list of them that you can provide me, so that I can specifically back them up.
Other than the blank members listings, another problem has just started, and that is my users can only go to one page at a time, before being told that their session has expired. These means they have to repeatedly keep logging in.
I have the latest WordPress and Simple WP Membership versions, and I have no caching on anywhere.
There must exist an annoying set of circumstances that’s causing this situation; I realise it is difficult to track down, but I do hope we can find the root of the problem soon.
Cheers,

ModeratorHi, have you enabled Debug Mode? If you haven’t can you enable this feature and carry out some test. Check the log file.
There is definitely something wrong, you either have a plugin conflict or there is some setting in the server causing this.
Create a backup”Important”.
Then delete the plugin and reinstall it again. Do you also have the following Form Builder add-on? How much memory has your host allocated to your website? I know you mentioned above, the host has allocated the maximum. I would like to know what is the maximum?
Thank you

ParticipantI have enabled SWPM Debug, and all appears OK. It is functioning as normal even when I have blank members pages.
I have the Form Builder add-on installed, but not activated, because I don’t ever seem to have the time to work on it. Hopefully soon, but I have not activated it since I bought it.
I have 128MB of memory allocated to WordPress, which is the maximum that Bluehost recommend.
But, I am out for most of today, so I will contact Bluehost tomorrows to ask if they will allow my WP memory allocation to be increased.
Many, many thanks for your continued support in trying to sort this out for me.
Cheers,

ParticipantI have just finished a two-hour live chat with Bluehost about this, so I thought I’d give you an update.
Note that my live website is running smoothly, as is your membership plugin.
Running WordPress v4.4.2, with Twenty Twelve theme, Simple WP Membership v.3.1.9 with add-ons After Login Redirection, Custom Messages, Form Shortcode.
Since my last post, this is what’s happened:
1. Un-installed and re-installed Twenty Twelve
2. Deleted and re-installed Simple WP Membership
3. Bluehost have increased my PHP memory to 200MBI can see my members OK.
I de-activated all my plugins; I re-activated Simple WP Membership and its addons. I then started activating, one at a time, my other plugins, beginning with the ones that are most important.
I continue to see my members OK, until I add plugin number 15. It doesn’t matter which plugin it is, but after the fifteenth plug-in is added I can no longer see my members.
Bluehost are now at a loss. They have suggested I air the problem on wordpress.org/support (which I will do), and also suggest I come back here. I feel as if I’m bouncing back and forward between two camps.
As I said, the live site is function normally, and the workround I am using when I need to see a particular member, is to temporarily de-activate all my plug-ins except for the Simple WP Membership ones, do what I need to do, and then re-activate them.
I’m not tech wizard, but it all seems to point to a memory leak. Has anyone else reported this? And could it be because I currently have over 7,000 members registered, and over 3,000 pages on my site?
I will let you know if I hear anything from wordpress.org/support. In the meantime I will limp along.
Cheers,

ModeratorHi after reading what you typed above, I think the following might help you. You can try to see if it does, you haven’t much to loose.
Configure the PHP max_input_vars setting
These settings are sometimes available in the php.ini directive called max_input_vars
Edit the server php.ini or in some cases you can add a secondary php.ini inside the account (domain) folder.Configure the php.ini like this:
max_input_vars = 3000You may need to do this via .htaccess (on a shared host for instance), use:
php_value max_input_vars 3000Try the above and maybe increase it further.
