    Whenever someone subscribes to the website, they aren’t able to set a username for their account, so their username simply remains blank without a possibility of fixing it. What would be causing this?

    Is the user doing steps 6, 7 and 8 (see the following documentation)?

    Yes, they did those steps but were unable to set a username, so they have an active account without a username.
