    Hi,

We are having a lot of people registering today based on an email campaign. Many members can register without a problem. We have had two users who have registered, we received an admin email and they can login.

However, they do not show up in the members area.

In addition, we have the system set to manually set their membership from pending to active, so we can control our users and make sure they are legit (it is a free membership for our user list). The members who are able to register but we can’t see them are automatically set to active. Also, when I try to add them manually, the system states they exist, even though I cant’ see them.

Is anyone else having this problem?
ugh, I need this fixed, we are live and this could be a problem
    Thanks,
    Tracey

Hi, one question are the members signing up through the plugin or through WordPress?

They are signing up through the membership plugin. This was an intermittent problem with the form, after 150 users logged in I finally got some help. It turns out that my Blue host platform has better support than you. I was able to have them show me how to get to the database and I tested the database character limitations for the simple wordpress membership form username (I got the custom form builder for this plugin by the way). The simple membership username database character limit is shorter than the wordpress username character limit. So, they were being added at the user level of wordpress, but not on the member level in the simple member plugin section. I deleted the user in the wordpress user section, reduced the character limits and re-added them.

Now, you need to fix this bug- and put an error message on the form that states the user had exceeded the character limit for their username.

Hi, thank you for reporting back. I do apologize for the delay in helping you. I am happy that you received help and a solution to your issue was found.

One of the plugin developers will investigate further your findings.

    Kind regards

We are going to increase that character limit in the next version. That should address this.
