Media files not protected

Hello, i protected some media files, after good configuration following the docs.
Authentication is just bypassed. Is there a possibility to have this plugin fixed?
Please note that articles and pages are working just fine….

exactely it is downloaded without log-in.

I use “simple membership” to lock-down access to a group of particular pages, but even then I also use a different plug-in to double validate the user before allowing download of a file.

So I installed a plugin called “email before download” onto my previously-protected page. It is a plugin that seamlessly integrates two popular plugins (Contact Form 7 and Download Monitor) to create a simple shortcode for requesting an end-user to fill out a form before providing the download URL
