    Hello,

This morning I was trying to do a manual upgrade a member from a free member to a premium member to test something on my website. I did this through the admin panel. I checked the box, send an email notification. I received the email but the account was not changed from free to premium. I have tried an additional 3 times to change the account type and saved the changes and it is still a free account.

While I am here, I will ask about the process for people upgrading their account because it is related to what I was trying to test.

Right now I have 3 options for membership. Free, monthly and lifetime access. If someone starts off as a free membership and upgrades to a premium membership, either monthly or lifetime, provided they used the same email address as their paypal account while setting up the free account, it updates properly. Otherwise, it creates a duplicate account. However, I am wondering what happens if someone signs up as a monthly member then decides to purchase the premium membership. Obviously at this point it will be the same paypal account. Will they have to cancel the monthly subscription manually (or I can cancel it manually). Will the plugin allow the person to make that second payment for the premium membership? Because their account is already listed as a Premium member…
    Thanks for the info

Hi the plugin only allows a member to exist with one e-mail address. Currently it is not set up to change from one premium level to a different premium level or from a free membership level to a premium membership level automatically.

Please read the following instructions. Membership registration process overview and create a membership renewal button to help you understand the process further.

If you need more help or information please let me know.

    Regards
