Tagged: mailchimp
Hi,
why the plugin use the Name of the List and not the List ID to send new subscribers to MailChimp?
Use the List ID can be better and avoid many “mistakes”.
Kind regards

Thank you for your comment. The plugin developers will look further into your question.

The list name just there when you log into your MailChimp account so it is easier for people to find. MailChimp’s API allows subscription using a list name so we used that.
Using the ID is definitely a good alternative also
The problem comes when users make lists with the name that has several words + spaces.
Then add the list name in the member level can induce in typing mistakes that can cause a long time to understand that the problem is just the Name of the list, considering that there is no check from the plugin to mailchimp about the validity of the List name inserted in the relative text field of the plugin.
