Login function [swpm_login_form] not working correctly

Hi,
I have implemented the Simple Membership Plugin. At first on a stand-alone Mac (localhost:8888 only) and when everything worked, I moved it to my hosting company and the site is running, though “hidden” and only being tested.
Everythign seems to work just fine, but one thing is very annoying.
When hitting the “login” button on the login page, it goes to the previous host (localhost:8888) instead of the present and real host/URL!
When then going to the real host/URL, I am logged in, so the logging-in seems to work, but I am redirected to the wrong host/page!
I have replaced “localhost:8888” everywhere in the pages and pictures with the real host name, I cleared all cache in the browser, but it still goes to “localhost:8888” when klicking the login button. If I then click backwards in the browser, I arrive again at the login window at my real host, but now, I am logged-in and it show whos is logged-in!
So the page to which I am redirected after succesful login is wrong! As this action is fully controlled and hidden by [swpm_login_form], I have no clue what I should change where…

Any clue as to what could be wrong? What can I do to solve it?

Hi,

Have you tried disabling and deleting the plugin? Then you can install a fresh new copy of the plugin? This action will make sure that your current URL is registered correctly everywhere in the plugin.

Thanks for your reply!
That sounds like a last resort solution. When deleting it, I will loose all settings (and there are many…) and I will need to redo everything.
To me this seems like a real bug in the plugin, that needs a solution.
But this is plugin is for free, so who am I to say this 🙂
But in the long run, it doesn’t help in the sales for the addons if the main free program has this kind of a bugg :-).
Anyhow, I just tested to deactivate another plugin, Simple Membership After Login Redirection, which I didn’t use (haven’t touched it – no settings done), but had it installed as I thought it would be handy, but I don’t need it for now. After that, the login button, loggs me in, but I stay on the same page, but on the correct host/URL! No more localhost:8888! From there I can reach all other pages.
So I deleted the Simple Membership After Login Redirection plugin and installed a fresh one, and activated it again (with no settings set). No difference; clicking the log-in button still sends me to the wrong host localhost:8888. The plugin seems to disturb the settings in the main plugin.
So I leave it here for now. I am not having the right flow, but it works at least…
I hope this problem can be solved!

Hi again,
I solved it! My mistake…
I had missed to change the “after login redirection” setting on the different levels of membership pages. This line appears, even if you do not click on anyting on the Simple Membership After Login Redirection settings page.
