Log out feature not working

I am experiencing a problem where I click on the “log out” link.
But the user, never is never actually logged out.

When I click the link “log out” the page responds as if the user is logged out of the system.
The redirect page works as it should.

BUT
When I click on “LOG IN” the user see the page “Logged in as” showing username, account status, membership, edit profile and Logg Out links.

please advice

Are you using ANY kind of page caching, either on the server or as a plugin?
