In testing, I created an account and intentionally had the account listed as expired. When this account is logged in and they try to access a protected page it displays this message with a yellow bg:
“Your account has expired. Please renew your account to gain access to this content.”
“Renew your account” should link to the join page- correct? It currently does not. I also downloaded Simple WP Membership Custom Message plugin to see if there was a way to edit it there, but alas no.
Hi kcheatle have you enabled the following option Enable Expired Account Login under the Advanced Settings tab?
Yes.
Hi, have you tried adding a link on their profile or a link on the members page which allows them to sign up again to renew their account? Below is what it says about the following option Enable Expired Account Login
When enabled, expired members will be able to log into the system but won’t be able to view any protected content. This allows them to easily renew their account by making another payment.
I’ve had it set correctly from the start and after wrestling with this plugin for 2 days too long, I’ve given up. I’ve requested a refund for the plugin add-on I purchased. It did not work- even on a clean installation.
Hi kcheatle sorry to hear that the plugin did not work for you.
Kind regards
