    I don’t see a way to have new members join, but have the software require that each person is approved by a moderator. Is there a way to make this happen? Has anyone figured out a way to accomplish this?

    The account is approved automatically by default. You don’t need to do anything extra for it. You can go to your members menu to see all the member accounts and their profiles.
