On members only pages that have their corresponding links also in the menu, is it possible to hide their menu links until the member is logged in?

Right now the menu item is still in the menu and when clicked the page says, “You must be logged in to view content on this page…”

Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you!

menu is part of WordPress’s user interface system which can be customized through theme development whereas simple membership extends wordpress’s behavioral aspect. if you want to be able to control menu, you need to customize theme. simple membership plugin controls what you show. it doesn’t care how you show them.

Thanks for the feedback. Love the plugin. After your answer, I researched further and found that the If Menu plugin works great in conjunction with Simple Membership plugin.

You’re welcome. The only problem is that, logging in through a phone doesn’t seem to work. I am using an android and the menu items that are supposed to show, do not. hmmm…

I am guessing this has something to do with the theme. do this:
    1. switch to default theme then try to access the site through phone. see the menu shows up.
    2. activate simple membership plugin and try to login from phone. see everything works correctly.
    3. activate “if menu”

That was a good idea. Still didn’t work unfortunately. It’s not your plugin’s defect, the private pages still show up if the logged in user knows the url to get there. It’s the If Menu not working in phones. I tried 2-3 other conditional menu plugins and all are doing the same thing…which is certain menu items should be displayed for logged in users. Such a bummer!

    Thanks for your help though.

Low and behold, after trying to log in a few times in a few different ways, my Chrome browser said I have to enable cookies. Followed the links and instructions to do so, and voila! It worked! Amazing! Thanks!
